MTV News Halloween Makeover
Oct 25th, 2006
We never run out of interns here at MTV (and free soda, too, but that’s a story for a different time). So why not put a few of them to good use for our MTV News’ Halloween Makeover photo shoot. This quick project involved a professional makeup artist from MAC Cosmetics some cheap thrift-store costume pieces and a trip downstairs to Times Square to embarrass provide an educational learning experience for our two interns.
The goals were quite simple, along with fashion writer Farrah Weinstein, turn Javier the intern into Davey Havok from AFI, and Danielle into the girl from “The Grudge.” Get creeped out with these photos from MTV News’ Halloween makeover.
- Interns Javier Romero and Danielle Gallagher before their transformation into AFI’s Davey Havok and the Grudge.
- MAC Pro Team makeup artist Romero Jennings goes heavy on the black eyeliner for the Grudge and uses a white sticky powder to give her the “dead” look.
- For Davey, you can’t go wrong with Converse All-Stars, a blond streak in the wig, and black nail polish with fingerless gloves.
- The final touches make Gallagher look like a wandering, creepy corpse you wouldn’t want to meet in an empty alley.
- Javier is ready to rock – Danielle is ready for the tomb.
- The outcome: punkalicious. He’ll get all the girls, now.
- Does the Grudge have a sister? Hmmm…
